Santa on Tour

Track Santa as He Heads Out on Tour!

Collect up your pennies, finish up your letters, Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Thank you for coming out to support March Lions Club and the Rotary Club of March taking Santa on Tour. This year you have helped us raise £1,318 for break to utilise in the March area, and donated food for March Foodbank. The static Santas at Sainsbury’s and Tesco raised a further £1,000 for March Lions Club to use to continue to support local causes into 2025.

Lion Derek Rutter (President – March Lions Club) and Rotarian Mary Russell (President – Rotary Club of March) present the cheque to staff from break.

Santa on Tour will return Christmas 2025 – watch this space for further updates!

What is Santa on Tour?

Each December, March Lions (with the help of our friends at March Rotary Club) takes Santa and his sleigh on a tour of March, whilst also collecting for local charities nominated by each club. In recent years we have raised over £6,000 for charities including:

  • break
  • CAMSAR (Cambridgeshire Search and Rescue)
  • Parkinson’s UK
  • Young People March
  • 20Twenty Productions
  • Christians Against Poverty
  • MIND
  • Papworth Hospital
  • The Fen Tigers
  • The Fenland Music Centre Association
  • The East Anglian Air Ambulance
  • No Gain No Pain UK

March Lions also helps Santa visit the local supermarkets on the Saturdays in December to collect for the club’s charitable funds. These funds are donated to charities locally, nationally, and internationally throughout the year.
